Paulina Constancia is a Filipino-Canadian artist born Maria Paulina Constancia Cornejo Lee on December 1, 1970 in Cebu City, Philippines. She is considered one of the most prolific and inspiring female artists in Cebu, Philippines. Sunstar Daily's Leticia Suarez says, "Her paintings are like a breath of green air in the local art scene. It's like going from the dusty street into a woody hide-away that's full of magical secrets." Paulina Constancia is a multifaceted artist best known for her bright colored, whimsical narratives painted on quilts and tiles that are also reflected in her writing. Her art has been featured on the back cover of the Reader's Digest (Asia-Pacific Edition, December 1997). In 1997, She was presented by the (Philippine Centennial Coordinating Council of Northeast USA ) in a show called "Here's to Sunny!" at the Philippine Center in New York City. In 2000, her collection of painted quilts called "Kleur en ik in de geheime tuin /Hue & I in a Secret Garden" was presented by the (VHC-Vereniging Haarlemmermeer-Cebu ) (sister cities organization of Haarlemmermeer and Cebu) at the Centrum voor Kunst en Cultuur in Hoofddrop and Kunst 2001 Gallery in Badhoevedorp. A permanent collection of her art may be viewed at the PAULINA CONSTANCIA Museum of Naïve Art () which officially opened on May 18, 2013. The museum is part of the Cultural Stewardship Program of West Gorordo Hotel, in Cebu, Philippines. Paulina currently resides in Singapore with her husband Michael Wortman and son Lucas Gabriel.
